Browse our available alternative therapy providers that offer in-person and/or on-line services.
When comparing complementary therapies, start with what is offered, who provides it and the purpose of the proposed appointment. Broad labels do not tell you whether a service is appropriate for a particular condition.
Some professions are registered through Ahpra, while other service providers may have different training and membership arrangements. Check the credentials relevant to the specific service rather than assuming all practitioners have equivalent qualifications.
Ask about evidence, limitations and possible adverse effects. Be cautious about promises of a cure or guaranteed results. Discuss how any proposed complementary care fits with medical assessment and treatment already in place.
